|All summer I've been struggling with heat sickness. I hadn't been able any longish rides at all. I've felt bad all of the time, and even had to abandon a few rides due to the effects of the heat. I've had difficulty acclimiting to the heat for all of my life, but never before like this summer.
Now it's September. During the past week we've had temperatures in the 70's and 80's. I had probably the three best rides that I've ridden all year. Life is suddenly good again. I can't wait to get out and ride again tomorrow. I love September!

|If you are in decent shape and have just begun to succumb to heat I wonder how your diet is? Make sure you do the right thing with electrolytes and salt in addition to eating healthy. Then get up early...|

|Have to agree with the diet and most importantly getting up early. Here in AZ it's a must to get up before dawn to get in a good ride before it gets too hot. I've been getting up between 4:30 and 5am for 4 months!!!
Of course, the cooler weather is just around the corner ... :)
