... here are a few pics of my new X Treme wheel(s) (I bought a set) mounted on my Spectre, and photo comparisons with a HED H3.

Xtreme is on the left

Despite their relatively thick aero chord (while I don't have the data, it appears to be a true airfoil) the wheels weigh in as advertised (this tubular front "felt" much lighter than the clincher H3)

http://www.x-tremewheels.com/aerodrive.htm

advertised weight from X Treme is Tubular Front 775gr/Rear 940gr... actual was about 50 grams more per wheel (weighed on shop scale) which might jive with HED's spec's as well http://www.hedcycling.com/specs/h3_specs.htm (my H3's are clinchers).

I've yet to test these wheels (my Tufo tape arrived this morning) and while they might not offer an "advantage" over the H3, they at least look different (in a sea of H3's and Giro Pneumos...)

We abide.

Remain In Light.

Be the bike.

They look cool! You'll be interested to know the Ukranian (or at least some eastern block country) use them on at least their junior national team track bikes.

If its of any interest to you I have the Corima 4 spoke and disc. You can see them at www.corima.com.

Cheers,
Nick

Those are pretty awesome lookin wheels. Looking foward to hearing further comments. I have a set of hed 3's. I'm more than impressed with them so far. How are they as far as price, availibilty etc?

I was the bike just a bit ago. Got back from an awesome 45 miler with a rather nasty wind. (sub 2 hour).
