Is it only me or do you see more beer bottles and cans, fast food wrappers etc in the fall ? I swear, It is litter bug season in New England.

In the late Fall/Winter, seagulls like to use a bridge that the Tues/Thurs morning group ride travels across. The seagulls use it to crack open mussels so that they can eat something besides garbage, I guess. The side effect is shell bits everywhere, which are sharp as glass, and the number of flats goes up.

A positive side effect of winter is a lot less sand on the bike path because there are a lot fewer people on the beach.
