Poggio or Aliante(7 posts)

Poggio or Aliantenetso

I am riding a Fizik Poggio which I really like, however the stitching is coming apart. I have seen the new Aliante with Carbon Rails, it is the same price as the Poggio. Have any of you ridden the Aliante?

I too have been considering buying the Fizik Aliante, but have been reluctant to spend that much money on a piece of equipment that my butt might not like, and thus become a very expensive paperweight. Where did you find the Aliante for the same price as the Poggio?

Dear netso:

Sounds like a great deal. What is their price and address/phone number, and do they do mailorder?

As I realize that you may not wish to share this information on this forum, please e-mail me directly at wongt@cc.umanitoba.ca if you do not wish to post this information publicly.

Thanks in advance!

I have an Aliante. It's a nice saddle. Tough to say whetherbill

it's worth what you pay for it. But it is comfortable -- not too hard, soft, narrow, broad, whatever. A fair amount of give without seeming too cushy (lacking in support). There was a thread on the components board, I think, on the saddle within the past few weeks.
saddle fit.. suggestions pleasemhubbert

I'm sure the alainte is a great saddle, but need some help before I can spend that type of money. Saddles are designed to fit different riding styles and width of your personal bone structure.

I live in the mountains, so many different positions during a ride and about 9cm between but bones. I have a flight titanium and it is a killer between the butt bones. I keep working with different tilts and distances with now luck.

Any suggestions would be helpful
