if it wasn't enough that the world championships are coming to N. America next year, Lance even says he's going to have a go at them.

Hamilton is about 2 hrs from my house, but it gets even better than that. My sister-inlaw and her husband live there so I'll be staying with them. They're a lot of fun and I'm sure we'll go out for a pop or two at night.
I have been looking forward to this for quite awhile, and I'll be there either way but it would be nice to see Lance.

My house is a block away from the course. It doesn't get any better than this.

But I fear the city/province/feds are somehow going to screw this up. And the whole world will be watchng..
Already there's been a schmozle over funding and dire warnings about traffic gridlock.
How selective will the road race course be?Wayne

I'm assuming it's not flat or else Armstrong wouldn't be doing it. Although I would think he will focus on the TT.

The course will involve climbing the Escarpment - a.k.a. "the Mountain" - I know that much. If you're familiar with the area, they've been talking about the Queen Street hill and West 5th. It's a short climb, about 200 feet, but it's fairly steep. They're probably best described as sprinters' climbs. As for the TT, I'm not sure where it will be held. There's lots of rolling flatlands just outside the city.
