|if i remeber correctly, you are a proponent of tufo's tubular adhesive tape.
how easy is it to mount a tubie? is the glue pretty tenacious?
do you install it on a clean rim or over old glue? do you use tubies with pristine basetape or do you just add a thin layer of glue?
im thinking of trying it out with some tufo giro twix on a zipp 404 and would appreciate any advice.

|It is much, much easier to mount.
The glue is about 95% as strong as the best regular glue jobs, and stronger than most glue jobs I've done.
I just put it on, new or old rims. I've used it on new and glued tubulars with cotton base tape -- not on one with latex, like Vittorias, yet.
I've used it with Zipp carbon rims so far. In fact, I installed it on the side of the road 80 miles from home on a Zipp disc yesterday. Try that with regular glue.
I have as yet to remove a tire that I had used it on, yet, so I don't know how it will be for a reinstallation.
Also, don't think of it as "tape," but rather a strip of glue, sort of like the pink stuff that has partially set up.
Give it a try. It's certainly worth considering.
