| 2003 Cannondale R600 | Pedro101 Sep 15, 2002 5:26 AM | | Have you ridden this bike? It seems a good deal for that cool frame. I had very bad experience with CODA Parts. Can you live with this components and what about the few Tiagra parts? |

I don't know anything about the Tiagragroup, people on the board seem to think it works just fine- If I remember the catalogue correctly the 2003 R600 comes with a CAAD 5 frameset- an excellent aluminum frame. Light and solid, and takes the edge off of rough roads. How much are they asking for the R600- It is always an option to buy a CAAD5 frame and a 105 or Ultegra build kit CAAD 5 $635 (shipped from GVHBikes.com , comes with a campy hidden set) Ulttegra Build $669 (SuperGo.com) then all you seed to get is a saddle and post. Building it up yourself is great fun but more work than one might think; and there is defintely something to say for having the support of a LBS. Good luck |

I think there´s an R 800 on the way. (R600 1649 euros, R800 1999 euros). The R 800 has slightly better wheels, gears and components. But for the price, I think the 600 rocks! Nice frame, nice fork and the rest is also good stuff (for the price), although nothing spectacular.
Some people think that Coda parts suck, but i think they´re ok. Their saddles are usually very un-comfy, but I always change saddles anyway. |
