Any one here ride OCLV Mtn bikes?CARBON110

I am debating on getting a 9.8 hard tail or the new Fuel OCLV frame set and building it up to ride for fun. Anyone here have one or any opinions of one. Ihaveowned nothing but OCLV bikes, 7 to be exact, so I have faith in them. I can get a deal on both framesets and bikes. Thanks

I don't know... I've considered the 9.8, but with all the rocks we have here in PA, i'd be afraid of crashing and cracking the frame. That being said, a buddy of mine rides a Fuel 100 with the OCLV rear triangle and he loves that bike to death. Pretty light too!

i bought a 94 trek 9800 (97xt, 2001 sid xc, formula lightweight wheels) in 96 new because i got a wicked deal and have made upgrades since. the bike is extremely light and comfortable. i love climbing with it. it handles predictably and has survived some spectacular (that's how my witness/friends describe them) falls like a champ. i've been to moab twice with it and lived in napa, ca for 5 months and i haven't been in a situation where it didn't shine. the only reason i wouldn't buy one now is because new full-suspension designs allow so much more speed it is worth the 2-4 extra pounds. most pros are using dual suspension now, and trek's new top-line fuels are full carbon. if you want to ride for fun and have the money, i reccomend going with the full carbon fuel. roland green seems to like his.
