The Colnago C40 is (by reputation) one of the best bicycles available. I'm not familiar with the Imola model but I've had a couple of Bianchis. Right now I would consider only the Bianchi Boron, EV2 and EV4 top level racing frames. The C40 is used by the Mapei and Rabobank teams in Europe to great success.

What makes the C40 better? Engineering, I guess. You can read some absolutely salivating reviews of C40s in the RBR reviews.

If it were my choice, I'd take a 4 year old C40 in good condition over any new Bianchi if they were close to the same price.
