My lbs is having a great sale on tires, and i was going to stock up, but didnt know if they get brittle or anything after time. Just looking for some info. thanks

In your tempature controlled house....a long long long long time.
In your garage where it freezes, thaws, gets real hot....a long long long time.

These aren't dairy products.

If stored correctly approx 4-5 years they are OK. After that dry rot starts and you will see fine cracking.

I know they have dates on car tires but I will have to go and check my bike's.

I have had tires that I did not use for 2 or 3 seasons until after I used them. They were fine and gave me another year or two.

As long as they have stayed out of the sun and away from an electrical closet (lots ozone in there) they should be fine for a long long time. Check the rubber, it will be very noticeable if there is a breakdown taking place.
