|I recently ran across a great deal on thin wool dress socks that are short(below the calf) and bought several black pairs. When showing up several times at group rides with my black socks on I was openly jeered. These socks perform as well as coolmax in the summer and better in the fall and winter.
Is this a serious fashion failure? Does anyone else break the uniform code for comfort or performance?
|you could always wear em with leather sandals and bermudas (nm)||ColnagoFE|

|High socks, low socks, polo shirts, dress shirts, Hawaian shirts, khaki shorts, clips/straps, old old style time pedals, bar end shifters, downtube shifters, no shifters, non aero cables, steel lugs, camelback road rides, home made gu in a water bottle, kickstand on a mountain bike fer chrissakes, you know how much that leather saddle weighs?
It's all good. Wear those cool woolies with pride. Soon you might see another rider loosen up with knee highs (?)

|Black sox are fine with black shoes. Any other color requires sox lighter than the shoes or matching your shorts.|
|I always go above the calf white tube socks with stripes. (nm)||Quack|
