|After several years of mtb riding and over a year of searching, I purchased a great road bike (18 month old Moots Vamoots frame, new Look fork, Campy Chorus gruppo, I could go on...). I'm pretty fired up and am looking forward to a good, long ride this weekend. I've been advised to ride no more than 25-30 miles for the first few times out, advice I intend to follow. I've done 3 short rides, 8 to 10 miles, to get to know the bike.
Now to the point...I hear and read, especially on this site, all kinds of technical talk about bikes and training, and I'd like to know what books, videos or ??? experienced riders think would be helpful in understanding it all. I've gone through Amazon, but tend to get a bit overwhelmed and confused. I think it's my advancing age. Anyway, help from you would be greatly appreciated.
Look for me on the PCH between Del Mar and Carlsbad this Sunday!
