|A few days ago, I posted about an "odd feedback" I was getting at the headset. In the course of investigating the problem, I contacted my headset manufacturer, Cane Creek. The person I spoke with answered all of my questions and walked me through troubleshooting the problem. When I found metal filings on the lower bearing, he offered to replace the headset and reccommended that I take it to a bike shop to insure that the frame was properly faced. |
Well, it turns out that the frame was very poorly faced (if at all). So, the repairs have been made and I'll probably do a test ride tonight.
I am very impressed with the level of support I received from Cane Creek and, based upon this experience, will certainly look to them first for any components that I need.

|After climbing out of the saddle, I'd feel and odd wandering pressure at the handlebars for a while.|| |
