A few days ago, I posted about an "odd feedback" I was getting at the headset. In the course of investigating the problem, I contacted my headset manufacturer, Cane Creek. The person I spoke with answered all of my questions and walked me through troubleshooting the problem. When I found metal filings on the lower bearing, he offered to replace the headset and reccommended that I take it to a bike shop to insure that the frame was properly faced.

Well, it turns out that the frame was very poorly faced (if at all). So, the repairs have been made and I'll probably do a test ride tonight.

I am very impressed with the level of support I received from Cane Creek and, based upon this experience, will certainly look to them first for any components that I need.
What was the problem? I missed the earlier thread. thx (nm)Sintesi

After climbing out of the saddle, I'd feel and odd wandering pressure at the handlebars for a while.
