This was taken at T-town at Nationals this past weekend by Mike Gladu and can be found on cyclingnews.com, the rider is Garth Blackburn. Garth won the national title for the keirin the day before.
Just thought it was an interesting pic!

|What caused them to go off track? What injuries did he sustain?

|The frame is a Tiemeyer. I'm unsure of his injuries, but believe he was ok. I was not there on that day so don't have much more info.

|Nope, never ridden a fixie. But I figured that if you just didn't pedal, your back tire would lock up, not your front...

|Well, if you've never ridden a fixie, it's kinda hard to explain. Think about all the torque and momentum of the rear wheel being shot up through the crankarm into your femur creating a lever to shoot you over the bars; a fixie has got a kick like a mule and will endo you in a heartbeat if you're going fast enough.

|...Because hopefully we will hear it again as he gets even better. Garth has made a big splash as a junior and is continuing to do so in the senior ranks as well. He is a local Houston Alkek Velodrome racer whom all the remaining juniors are happy to see become a senior!
Mike Gladu has been photographing bike racing for a long time and is finally getting some much deserved recognition as well. http://www.velodrome.com/
