muscles sore, big ride in 12 daysesbike

Help! training advice needed. I'm doing a century with lots of climbing (about 12k) in 12 days. During the last 3 weeks I did an organized century with some climbing (about half of the one coming up) and then hit the hills hard after that, doing lots of climbs in as big a gear as I could. I guess not too surprisingly, I now have a dull ache in my quads and they don't feel 100%. I've taken in easy the past 4 days and I'm feeling better, maybe now at 85%. The question is do I continue mostly stay off the bike or keep riding moderately and hope that I heal before the big ride.

lower body, for ~5-10min before bed and also do easy 15-30mi spins 1-2 times a day. No hard work outs, it's better to be rested/undertrained then OVT good luck

btw where is the century?

thanks for responding. I'm feeling better. I read in that vit E take every day can help with muscle soreness.

Maybe I'm biting off more than I can chew, but I'm planning on doing "the world's toughest century"

That's a long time...take an aspirin or something, take a hot bath, do a couple of easy rides.
