|Like Gilberto Simoni of Saeco?
Is it recreational or is there a belief of increased performance?
I think Simoni claimed that there must have been cocaine contained in some sweets he ate.

(7/29/02) Gilberto Simoni of the Saeco/Cannondale team was cleared this past weekend of all accusations of drug use. Simoni was cleared by both the Italian prosecutor's office and the Italian governing body for cycling. The investigation into Simoni included a chemical analysis of his hair, which would show (if it were the case) any use of cocaine. To the contrary, it helped prove Simoni's innocence.
Homeopathic throat lozenges from South America that Simoni was taking to combat a possible case of bronchitis were found to have traces of cocaine, and have been confirmed as the source of the positive test results.

yes you may call it stupid, still there're several Portuguese soccer players who got fined and kicked out of World Cup because they ate too much pork.
