Torn between ZEAL Blast and Rudy Kerosene & Kero. Prem....MVN

Anybody use Rudy Project Kerosenes or Premiums? I need new sunglasses ands I'm trying to decide between the ZEAL Blast and the Rudy Kerosenes and the Kerosene Premiums. There are almost no reviews on these glasses, especially the Kerosenes. Can anyone give me some feedback on the ZEAL's and/or the Rudys? Thanks in advance.

I've got a bunch of Rudy's (I sell them in my office, nothing like getting shades at wholesale). I love the Kerosenes. I prefer the standard to the premium. The premium lenses are more round at the outer edge, the standard lenses extend a bit more to the outside. Otherwise the standard and the premium are the same frames. Both types allow you to adjust the vening of the lens easily too.

I've really gotten to like the Racing Blue lens which is new this year. A tiny bit darker than the Racing Red (which is a good lens too). You can get extra lenses for $30-$40 per pair. Their lenses are warranted for 2 years for scratching.

You can find a local dealer at www.rudyproject.com. I'd recommend checking one of them out for fit and then picking the colors and lens(s) you want. Most online places just have a few frame colors and no flexibility with lens colors.

Just to make things a bit more confusing, the Rudy Project Ekynox is pretty cool too, a bit more sport specific than the Kerosens but has good venting and looks great under a bike or ski helmet.

I love my Kerosenes, a good friend is an optomitrist who did my perscription inserts. Yes this is me in the pic.

I love my Rudy Projects. I got a pair of Kerosenes and they are awesome sunglasses. They come with 2 sets of interchangable lenses, a cloth and a hard carrying case which is indestructable. Combined with a warrantee that covers scratching for 2 years you can't go wrong.

Cheers,
Nick

Hi Nick,
I wasn't sure if they come with extra lenses because I didn't find anything on the website that verified that. Yours did come with extras? What colors? Thanks and good luck on your continued recovery.

Mine came with a set of orange lenses to compliment the mirrored black. It could have been an old deal or where I got them through. I know some Tayo's used to come with an extra set of lenses and then for sure the Graal Fyol's come with 3.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Cheers,
Nick

I think there are Zeal reviews over there. MTB Review (sister to this site) tends to have reviews on certain road/mtb products that aren't reviewed here.

I have the Rudy Kerosene, Skeey's, Ekynox and a pair of Tayo's. The Kerosene glasses are nice but in my opinion the Ekynox are the most comfortable all.
