in most areas, you can get a DUI on a bike, and I've seen it happen on campus. I'm sure that won't be a problem though, as you'll be responisble...

such as boat, auto, and motorcycle. Thus, I get points on my operator license no matter what vehicle I offend in.
What really sucks is that if you were drunken biking, you get points on your license and banged by the auto insurance companies.

How can they affect your car insurance for something you did on the bike? The only person who's ass is on the line while riding a bike drunk is your own... sure you could hit a car but you'd only do like $50 damage and since your bike doesn't have insurance and you were drunk anyway your insurance probly wouldn't pay.

At the same time though they can't have drunken fools riding home from pubs everywhere but it still sucks cus if someone is gonna make the choice between riding or driving... the implications aren't all that much more if your driving.

Nick

Have an awesome trip, and drink responsibly.

I've never seen someone get a DUI on a bike, but almost as amusing is when my friend was biking down our quiet street (around 75 meters) from my place to his place without a helmet. It's probably the only time a cop has come down our street, but sure enough he got a ticket. This was just when wearing a helmet became mandatory by law, and the cops were enforcing the law like there was no tomorrow. My friend fought the ticket in court and won.
