Spare a thought for this woman hit by a carbigdave

I have no idea who this person is, but it's a fellow cyclist. The car was stuck in the ditch after the incident, as my wife saw the car as she was traveling near the scene. She did not know a bicyclist was involved. From how stuck the car was in the ditch, this seems fishy. The b@stard better not have done this purposely...

Happened in SE Wisconsin:

"Bicyclist seriously injured in collision
Town of Delafield - A 21-year-old woman was hit by a car on Highway KE while riding her bicycle Thursday afternoon, according to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department.

The woman was injured and taken by helicopter to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa, sheriff's Lt. Bill Deering said. Authorities would not release the names of those involved.

Froedtert spokesman Mark McLaughlin said late Thursday that the woman was in serious condition in the intensive care unit.

The southbound car, operated by a 20-year-old Hartland man, drove onto a gravel shoulder of the southbound lane and struck the bicycle near Highway JJ, Deering said. The man wasn't injured, he said.

Deering said it was unknown why the car veered off the road."
