I'll be up in Baraboo this weekend and was planning to test out my new 13-26 cassette, but since Campy doesn't exactly have any made right now, that won't be happening. They said they'd get right to the assembly line for me! Not. So my little legs will be doing this in my 39x22. Fun!

Builds character right?

I've not biked this region, but when I drove through on August 17th there was alot of construction on Hwy 12 between Baraboo and Madison. They are straighting the curves. Are open to riding the 400 or other trails or is crushed limestone not an option?

I'm open to limestone pathsKristin

That's a great place to mountain bike. Have you thought about a rental?

Regarding the 13-26, they seem to be available at all the online shops. Do you have 8,9 or 10spd?

But its too late to get it for this trip now. I ordered it thru my LBS about 10 days ago and they gave me the bad news on Tuesday. I was hoping to have it installed for this weekend. So no it doesn't matter if I wait for the back order part.
Oh, Ixnay on the MTB thing. I trip over my own feet.Kristin

Me on single track? I hit absolutely everything in my path--which meanders constantly from "the path". Its like watching a blind turkey run. (This is cruel to the animal, but worth seeing, by the way.)

We crossed over the hill to Devils Lake on our tandem this past summer with the GRABAAWR ride. It's got some really good climbs going up, then a heck of a switch back downhill to the lake. Once over the top and to the bottom, the scenery opens up to a fantastic panoramic view! A good ride. You won't want to get much speed up going down the switch backs into the place. Great ride!
