In my post about the dog bite and crash seems a few people feel I'm prejudice toward certain ethnic groups. To those I Offended I'm sorry I'm hardly prejudice Of those I offened how many Have been or are married to a Latin woman. Well I was for 10 years. I don't care if the dog owners are blue, pink, white, black, whatever, they are still Damn owners if you have asked them very politley several times before to please watch there dog and the refuse. Again sorry if I offened anyone but don't pass judgment on someone you have never seen or met.
Thank you

I didn't read the original post but your comments...Dave Hickey

have obviously been bothering you.

1. The fact that it still bothers you shows you have conscience.
2. It takes a good person to admit a mistake and apologize.

Don't worry about it.

I did read his first postcarnageasada

and felt that most Latinos who read it would have been offended. In many cases people mistake Hondurans and Salvadorians for Mexicans. Much like Canadians don't like to be falsely lumped into United States citizens. But I think apologizing for it does go a long way and shows you want a clean conscience. I'd say too, you're good to go if that helps any. I know it's hard to say anything these days without being viewed as a bigot. I saw Goldmember the other night and came to the conclusion that if they had made 1/100th as much fun as Mexicans as they did the Dutch in that movie there would have been some angry people.
Hey, anyone who says they aren't prejudice or make...eschelon

racist comments, jokes, or comments meant to vent some sort of catharsis are full of shit. They're have been plenty of times some person who happens to be said ethnic variety that I noticed pissed me off for some stupid reason or another that I screamed inside myself or my car some awful comment. But deep down inside I know my comment is full of shit and I don't really mean it...nor do I plan on ever saying to anyone's face. Racism is can be very subtle and direct and it is institutionalized to the point where many who claim not to be racist usually are but they are too stupid internally to objectively make that determination. It's a constant battle within us all to balance our frustration with reason and rationale...may we all live in peace and harmony.

Get real. People-This is a cycling site. Complain about it in an editorial in the ny times about how unjust and how unfair the world is. If people don't like you becuase of your race, it's their problem. Get over it and focus on something positive, like riding your bike. Focus on crap and that's what you get. Life is too good and too short to dwell on this $hit.

and think about whether life is too short to let epithets go uncriticized.

Spoken like a white, straight, non-Jewish male I presume?
