NEW BIKE ALERT!!(11 posts)

Aug 29, 2002 5:54 AM
Here it is, my new ride. Only one week old and two rides maybe 30 miles on her.

I am buying a house in a few weeks so with that in mind:
Bike is a Dream Plus all ultegra (no house then dura ace)
Pedals look 396 (Jalabert sig series e bay special)
Fork is Force carbon
Wheels are my old mavic somethings (not sure)

Top speed so far 32.4 mph.
Paint job GEO, I love it. For those that don't know it is a map of the world on the bike. I like that as I am from Africa and live here and have travelled a small bit so it is nice to have a map to see where you are if you get lost on a century.
Look carefully girls you might see my reflection in the TV naked!
Anything else? Flame away...

Hey - you have my bike!!

You don't see too many Dream Plus Geo's... I love mine.

only I'd ditch the ultegra levers asap. They'll jam on you after the first 200-300 miles. Upgrade to Dura Ace. Ultegra everything else is fine.

I will watch the levers. In fact they are the only thing I considered replacing straight away, but just went ultegra in the end. I love the bike and am glad there are not many of them. Enjoy your ride.

I wouldn't get a bike like this with ultegra...Raf1

house or no house.

you'll end up paying for an upgrade sooner or later.

Ultegra is fine but not for a high end bike.

you are right, I do prefer the dura ace. But I had to limit my budget. I will upgrade to dura ace as the parts go out on me. The bike turned a few heads on Thursday night ride. Thank goodness there are none like it, the only other dream plus is yellow and white.
