Should I be worried?(Ebay)elrey

I bought a 2001 Lemond Zurich. The auction closed on 8/11 and I paid by paypal on 8/13. On the morning of 8/19 the seller e-mailed me and told me he just got back from vacation and will send it by Tuesday 8/20. I am moving, and my last day at the address I gave him is 8/31. I e-mailed him on 8/25 to tell him this. I told him If he could not send it soon, let me know so I could give him an alternate address. I still haven't heard from him either way. I know that Ebay isn't most people top prority, but should I be pushing a little harder? Should I get Ebay involved? Any thoughts! Thanks!

Do you have his phone number?

He's a slacker.

I, too, purchased a 2001 Lemond Zurich in August, off of E-Bay. 55cm, Frame only. I've waited three weeks and am wondering, but no dice yet.

I'm not outside the wait window yet, but e-mail me michaeld@iosphereNOSPAM.net and *hope* we haven't been doubled.

I'm sure E-Bay does work, but man, what a nerve-wracking three weeks, especially on big-ticket items. Best also, get the phone number before bidding.

I don't think we got doubled. I bought a complete 57cm Zurich. I hope that we're both riding soon!

When this happens to me on ebay I will send a message to the seller asking them to respond quickly or you will be forced to take further measures by contacting ebay . See if that doesn't help. That wait is way too long . Did it say anything in the description about when he would ship the bike?

There was nothing about shipping time in the description. Here's the auction page, if you're interested.

If you paid w/ your credit card via paypal and there is a significant problem, you can dispute the charge with the credit card company within 60 days, I think, and get your money back. I had to do this once with--believe it or not--a Lemond Zurich bought on eBay.
