|i recently test rode a 2001 5700 Trek at a shop. OMG it felt awesome...the 110 frame was more responsive than any bike i've ridden...and i HATE to admit it since i don't like trek (well, ahem, before i rode this one)...
they have it marked down to 2699 since its a leftover. full ultegra with Rolf Pro wheels. is that a good price? did it retail new close to 3400?
it basically new although i noticed 2 scratches on the frame with a slight "peeling" where the headset meets the headtube? how much would u pay?

|I think you are referring to the Trek 5900 that Lance rides as his climbing bike.
I bought a 2001 5900 a couple of months ago and am in love with it. I never knew a bike could be this good.
As for the price, I'm told that there is nothing different between the 2001 and 2002 model. A 2002 5200 will cost in around $2400. I'd say the $2700 is not a bad deal, but it doesn't mean you can't ask for less!
Buy it! You won't regret it.

|A 5700 was a 5900 frame with Ultegra instead of Dura-Ace. This model was discontinued for obvious reasons.|| |
