Actually, bamboo is a wonderful material. It has thousands of uses. We (the westerners) are just waking up to the possibilities.

I forget the name of the store, but there is one of these bikes in a local mall. An import furniture shop, sort of like Peir 1 or Cost Plus. They have it on display at the front of the store, though not directly in the window

A few weeks back I was in a local shop and saw a bike done up the same way. It was wicker wrapped around a baloon cruiser. I bet my mom whould dig that ride!
