Northwave Shoe Fit Question(5 posts)

Northwave Shoe Fit QuestionJerryZ

I would really like to try the Northwave Genetix Shoes, but am concerned about the fit. I have a rather wide foot. I have a pair of Gaerne mountain bike shoes size 46 that fit perfectly. Will the Northwaves fit my foot and is the sizing similar to the Gaernes? I appreciate your help.

I have a pair of size 45 Shimano mt. shoes and I just got 44s in a Northwave road shoe. Same size. Good fit. I have wide feet too.

I have two (2) pair of NW Evolutions size 46. Never tried Gaerne shoes, but have tried Carnacs, Sidi, Specialized and Nike.

The NWs I found have a decent sized toe box to accomodate a wider foot, yet are normal sized in the rest of the foot. They are not mega wide, but wider than Carnacs and Sidi's. Sidi Mega version is a little bigger than the NW (At least for me).

My best recommendation is to find a store that carries NW and try a pair or two on.

Fairly true to size. Wider than Nike, Sidi, Diadora, elviento

I just got a pair of NW arctic road shoes, size 44. Fit just like my Looks, Addidas, and Shimano shoes. Fairly nice sized toe-box, narrower heel. (Fit great for me.)
