I have worn mine for a month or so. Most comfortable shorts I have ever used, I don't even notice them as I ride.

A few things I have noticed:

1) I only apply chamois creme to my body, the chamois doesn't need it like on other Assos shorts.

2) The lycra seems very delicate to me, I accidently wore a small hole and created some pilling on one ride. I did not notice that the strap on my seat bag had come loose and had rubbed against my leg.

3) I have gotten in the habit of washing after every other ride and also hanging them inside out.

I use this stuff to clean my bike clothing:

Thanks for the advice. They do seem really thin, but I assume that's what also makes them comfortable. I think I will pick up some Assos creme for my nether parts as the Dr. Naylors is petroleum based and I'm worried that it will not react well with the synthetic chamois. Will check out that soap you use too. I'm looking forward to taking a long ride in them. Think they will be reserved for special occasions only though as I want them to last a while. Probably just hand wash em too. Seems like a lot of fuss for cycling shorts, but for the $ they charge you want to do everything you can to keep 'em around. Nice thing about my Performance Elites is I just chuck 'em in the wash and even dry them in the dryer on low. Never had a problem.
