Yankin' cranks and other questions...need help.riney

Pulling the driveside cranks on a Shimano Tiarga I need the crank extractor tool right. On the non-drive side do I need a special tool or will my craftsman socket set do the job. Tiarga is square tapered not splined right?

Also what type of BB do I need for a Cannondale frame. I am ordering to upgrade my wife's bike from Tiarga to Ultegra triple.

Thanks in advance for all the help

1. You need a crank extractor for both sides.

2. Assuming the Ultegra is the newer splined version, and the Cannondale is a road frame, you will need a 68 X 118.5 bottom bracket.

You didn't ask but a piece of friendly advice. Follow the installation directions, to the letter, that come with your new Ultegra crankset. That's an easier project to screw up than it looks at first glance.
