What other companies besides Trek that make male and/or female models. Cannondale,Lemond,Specialized, etc.? Or is it the sizing that matters?
Cannondale and Specialized for sure.Spoke Wrench

Basically they generally have a shorter top tube than the comparable model. Sometimes the smallest frame sizes use smaller wheels to avoid toe interference with the front wheel during sharp turns.

In the end, it's how you personally fit on the bike that matters. My personal experience has been that taller women can be fit on standard sizes with minimal adjustments but shorter women generally prefer the gender spacific models.

what I want to know is if my female bike got together with a male bike and my female bike "digged" the male bike, would they both start knockin' da boots when I'm not looking? That'sa what-a I would-a like-a to-a know-a!
Without a doubt.Spoke Wrench

You don't have to read posts on thie board for long to realize just how many bikes some people have stored in their basements. Once you get two of them together down there in the dark, the others just happen. Now here is where it gets just a little bit - strange. They don't even have to be male and female specific bikes.

After a while, do you have a bunch of little baby bikes riding around out in the garage?
