95 miles

From the GWB to BEAR MOUNTAIN and back.

Hills galore in 95 degree weather.

Close to quitting and questioning my sanity for the attempt because I did it all on my fixed.

I love that one gear with no freewheel.

On the serious side though. I think I pulled my hamstring from muscling that one gear up so many hills. Hoping it takes care of itself.
Why do we do it? If this type of rigor was part of my job...rwbadley

I would probably not stay with it long.

It would go like this...
The boss said I had to haul that 100 pound bale up to the top of Mt.Rose, (4200 vertical in 15 miles) I told him where he could stick it. I'm not draggin' that around....

But after work, or on the weekend, I'll haul my 185 (with bike) pound @ss up and back and around. For Fun!

Yes, we are nuts, and blessed for it!

Hope your hammie heals up quick!

I'm questioning your sanity too!!! :-)

What gear did you use? Considering the weather, I would have struggled in my 21t.

I dont think I will ever do anything like that again. Although you never say never.

I am actually thinking up other schemes like this one.

I've heard of such insanity. First time the guy told me he did it on his track bike w/o any brakes and with track gearing. I thought he BSed me.
I have a front brake. I am not that crazy. (nm)onespeed
