Just a poll to see who can get onto rollers without the use of a wall or chair or whatever else people use to get them up.

Ya I payed him. It sucks cus I'm on the hook for my team and I'm paying it at a time where I can't afford it but both my mom and him were acting in good faith. Thanks for everyones advice.

I use a short stool to stand on to get on them. I'll use the same stool to put my foot down when I unclip. Other than that no chair or wall to hang on.

Why are you concerned about roller technique in the middle of summer?

The discussion about rollers vs. trainers below brought it to mind.

I was housesitting, and decided to bring my new rollers to try. I'm out on the deck, and I get the bike on the rollers and I put a plastic deck chair next to me. I hold onto the chair with one hand, and put another hand on the bar. Then I begin pedalling, and get the nerve to let go of the chair. That poor plastic deck chair, may it rest in piece...or at least in the 4 pieces it was in after a crushed it.

I keep the rollers in the garage next to the wife's van, which provides a nice step-up and a decent cd collection.
