Unless i am mistaken you posted something about a carbon steerer tube breaking just below the stem while you were riding. this was about a year ago i believe. i can't remember the cause of the breakage though, having just installed a full carbon fork (ec90) on my own bike i was concerned about having the same thing happen.

That was a very early 2000 model Bianchi EV2 with a 290 gram fork. The replacement under warranty was a little beefier. I think that was 2 years ago, also.

It's hanging in the office of the bike shop, by the way.

thanks for responding, i'm going for my first ride on the fork in the morning and hopefully i will be able to gain full confidence in it.

I like the way Alpha Q is doing their carbon forks with the internal sleeve. Seems like a good idea.
