"Romantic" bicycling rendevous...eschelon

Ever done that? know, you "met someone" on some forum or some chat thing and then innocently found out that both of you liked to you both agree to meet somewhere to go cycling. You're all geeked because here's a chance to do something that you really love with a women (or man for you "eccentric" types) who also loves to cycle.

So what I do know from the email volleys is that she is a couple of years older than me and she enjoys cycling...I simply chose not to be too forward and ask her the size of her boobs or hips or weight...neither did she...err, my male attributes. I figured, hey, I'm a young guy in great shape...I assumed since she cycled too that she was in great shape too along with not being old enough to be my mother or grandma...oh the cruel irony of life that is...

It turns out she was a couple of years older than me...but she looked like she could've been my mother. She also thought riding at 14 mph for 20 miles was an extremly hard workout...and she was a generous gal...and I don't mean the financial generousity...I'm talking alot of cushion to the pushin' gal. Needless to say, we did this recreational ride and said to each other at the end of the "date" that we should do this again soon...while I thought to myself this is the last time I will ever do this Internet crap thing...I can't say what she was thinking...cause she never called me up to do anything either. I guess Thoroughbreds and Milking Cows can't be couples.

Any of you fine gents have bad or good experiences similar?

The cadence of "A lama once bit my sister" is perfect for a limerick....

A lama once bit my sister
Although he intended to kiss her
The lama was a monk
But he was quite a hunk

I'm coming up blank for a last line. Was it the Dalai Lama? I'm sureyou meant "llama" but I couldn't resist.

you are quite correct--llama, not Dalai Lama, although I can reply in due, obscure movie quote kind to that as well:

"Gunga, gunga lagunga. So I've got that going for me."

A lama once bit my poor sister
She cried, "Was that an accident, Mister?"
The lama was a monk
And my sister quite drunk
He'd attempted to kiss her, but missed her

10 points for the obscure Monty Python reference! nmStraightblock

Not only is it a good chance to meet interesting women that cycle, it's also great post material for the board. I can live my 10-years married to a non-cycling woman dreams through your posts. Thanks for the entertainment. Your story is hilarious. If you'd be willing to sleep with cycling babes met through the internet and write about your experiences, you could definitely have your own website.

Ride on!

Your story is funny, but I think it would have been better if you had "fibbed" a bit. Make it sound like a Penthouse story...
"We meet on the trail. At first, I was amazed at the size of her Camelback, but was confused why she was wearing two, and they were on her chest? Then I realized...those weren't Camelbacks!"

"we should do this again soon... I can't say what she was thinking..." Well you know what she's thinking "I never come this way before, let ride some more"
