That was pretty much how my day went today.

Today my wife and I rode the Portland bridge pedal which takes you 25 miles around Portland, Oregon and over all but one of the downtown bridges. The nice part is that they close down all of the roads on the course for 5-6 hours making it a nice, fun ride.

The ride was great for beginners as they had two full rest stops, free pictures on top of some of the bridges, bike repair at both rest stops and on one of the bridges.

20,000 riders on the road is a lot of riders over the course of 25 miles or so. It was amazing to see the diversity of people out there riding. There were people of all ages, races, abilities.

Overall we had a great time since it's the only time of the year we can go over several of the bridges in Portland on a bike. We are looking forward to riding it again next year.
