Dating my Bianchi Volpe(5 posts)

Dating my Bianchi Volpebianchiboy

Question from this newbie for all Bianchi experts: I just bought a Bianchi Volpe used that I'm trying to date: serial # 9B18294, white 59cm frame, 7-speed cassette, triple chainring, Dia-Compe cantis, Suntour XCE front and rear derailleur, Suntour AT hubs, Sakae SX cranks. Don't know how many of these components are still stock, but maybe they'll serve some of you as hints of the bike's age. I'm guessing early 90s, but maybe some of you know more? Bianchi staff couldn't (yet) help. Any wild guesses are welcome...

Bring her flowers, take her to a nice restaurant for dinner, tell her she looks beautiful in celeste green...
God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Volpe. (nm)jtolleson

...about a grown man dating a bike so young? It's not even legal age!

Besides that, some of those steel frames were a bit on the chunky side =)
