I will be in CH this weekend visiting the in-laws. Anyone recommend some routes or group rides in/around CH?

Thanks

Chapel Hill, NC? If so there is a ride in Hillsborough this
weekend. It has several length options, including a 100K and a 100m.

The Hillsborough ride, called Bike Fest, is a great one. It leaves at 7:30 a.m. Saturday with 31, 62 and 100 mile options. Costs $20. You can register day of the ride but show up early. Directions on the website (tarwheels.org). That particular ride follows a nice rural route over rolling countryside with little traffic; lots of good homemade food at the rest stops. Hillsborough is about a 20-minute drive from Chapel Hill, just west on I-40.

If you'd rather go solo, check out the Raleigh bike club's website, www.ncbikeclub.org. They have cue sheets posted for a bunch of rides, ranging from 20 to 100+ miles. They also have a bike calendar with other organized rides going all the time from different locations around the Triangle. There also is a group of riders that leaves from the Performance Bike Shop in Carrboro on weekends; if you call the store, they can give you details.
