Hurt my shoulder 2 years ago (weights) and stopped going to the gym which meant an end to my daily stretching routine.

Funny thing......... my lower back has never felt better since I stopped stretching. I also upped my mileage from a couple of Kmiles/year to over 10K miles/year.

...my back has never felt better once I started stretching. I stretch out my lower back and hamstrings at least 5 times a week at night for about 20 minutes while watching my 6-month old play in his "play station" that his grandparents bought.

I can tell when I get lazy and don't stretch the back regularly. So I would say keep at it.

ever thought that it were the weights that were killing your back, not the stretching. ... unless of course you were trying to be funny...
