females on this board are not females....eschelon

they are psychotic repressed males who love nothing but getting the horny guys on this board all "jollied up", what some people will do to get a little attention by impersonating females.
are the males males? nmmr_spin

as do all other true females on this board, I'm sure. How is it that only men are worthy of discussing cycling?

I can vouch for a couple of the other ladies because I've met them. If you want, I can get several of the members on this board to vouch for me as they've met and/or raced with me in person. I'm sure you'd simply write that off as me logging in under other screen names.

I work my ass off for respect. I have had to dig my way past an entire mountain of arrogant chauvanistic roadie male attitudes over the years, first as a racer, then as a shop wrench and race promoter. I don't often succumb to femi-nazi chip-on the shoulder attitudes, but geez do you deserve it for that comment.

Quite frankly I can build better wheels *and* kick the ass of MOST of the male cyclists on the general board, and probably a few on the Racing board as well. I try to keep my responses informative and as light-hearted as possible, and pass on as much experience as I can from my decade's worth of racing and fifteen years in the saddle as a serious cyclist. But damn, this kind of chauvanistic troll just pisses me off.

This isn't a matter of respect. If you're female, you have our respect. Hell, we'd love more real females here. It is obvious, however, that there are few real females here. Most are males posing as females. Of course the guys here are mad at this and resent this deception. This is normal, however. And of course this makes guys suspect whenever a poster claims to be female. But it's not the guys you should be mad at. Rather, you should be mad at the posers. They're the ones who are ruining it for the real females here. The guys' reactions here are normal and natural responses to being deceived.

You go girl. I think I can generally tell who is really female and who isn't. Maybe I'm deluding myself... but it is a slightly different energy and tone sometimes.
'Cept I should have abbrievated it as "LFR" (nm)jtolleson

I agree, can we all just ride our expensive machinery now?

I could get offended by that. Actually, I am a bit offended; but then again, I know I'm a woman. The "men" here are frustrated by what they can't know.

if you really are a't get so sensitive about your perception of feminity from others on this board. This is not about respect or all that other shit. This about strange men who get their jollies leading on other men on this board as though they are females.

If any of you have read enough of the threads here, you will quickly acknowlege that some (more than one and less than a 100) men seems to think this board is some date-the-female cyclist forum. Some comments are subtle...some more direct...hell, I notice the "female" sounding threads and names doing the "flirt" thing too...pathetic.

I must have missed a big thread while I was away raceing. Whats all this about people posing as the opposite sex? Thanks....
