Hey thats great, I really like mine, as a triathlete, I think the roadies don't like it on me. So I showed it to a girl in my area and got her one off E Bay too. They are great, plain and simple.

I have two jerseys that I got on major rides in which I participated. Even though the designs are not my favorites, they put a smile on my face and bring back good memories when I wear them. My favorite team jersey that I own is the 2000 ONCE Tour de France Jersey (Black with yellow accents). Mr favorite team jersey that I do not own is the Deutsche Telekom jersey. The design is very crisp and the color is outrageous. Since I have not been able to find the jersey elsewhere, I probably will buy one from the Telekom website (anyone have any experiences with purchases directly from Telekom?).

Their prices are pretty reasonable, their shipping charges however, are NOT. The only way to make an order worthwhile is to order enough stuff to spread the cost of shipping around or order enough stuff to sell the extra on eBay. Next hurdle to consider is this...even different items by the same manufacturer (for example a windbreaker and jersey both made by Adidas) both sold as the same size can be VERY different sizes in reality. I own four of their jerseys, a winter hat, and a windbreaker...the jerseys are some of my favorites and I would order more, the hat saw me through last winter very well, the jacket is big enough for me and my wife to wear at the same time with room to spare....go figure.

My favorite pro team jersey is Kelme, the one with blue and green vertical stripes. I'm reluctant to buy one, though, because all the pro jerseys I've tried on don't fit me -- either too tight around my chest or too long. I'm also an average climber at best, so I would probably disgrace the Kelme name since they are one of the best climbing teams.

Among regular jerseys, Volers and Louis Garneau seem to fit me best. I particularly like the Voler "map" jerseys, such as the France jersey now on sale for $30. I've never seen anyone else wearing one of these jerseys on a ride and I get lots of compliments whenever I wear it. It's also nice and visible. Here's a link:

While traveling in Spain in the Spring I stumbled across a line of bike wear not available in the United States. This won't hold any special appeal to anyone else, but when your last name is Gore, it's pretty cool to have a signature line of bike wear.

I just don't like the bug on the Castellis and the cross on the Assos, so I never bought any of their jerseys. Saved me a lot of money. :-)

I just got this one in the mail. Well say what you want about Gates and microsoft, this is still a great looking jersey and might I add the only one in America (actually I have 3 of them, I will dump 2 on e bay). I have yet to wear it as the mail man just gave it to me. I can't wait to show it off.

I only have 4 jerseys, and I like them all, but the most recent purchase really tickles me. I picked up a reproduction of the 1986 Soviet Union Airforce Cycling Team Jersey. It has all of these Russian companies on it, with a nice CCCP down each side, and a hammer & sickle in the center (and no, I'm not a communist, I just find the imagery interesting). It's fun to see if people get tweaked by the shirt or not.

In general though, as I am a pretty novice rider, I refuse to buy any shirt with ads on it, as I don't like being a billboard. The exception is that small companies are okay, so I wear my LBS jersey, because I like to support the store.

I bought it at Open Air Bikes in Ventura, CA. I checked ebay, and there is one for sale with a picture. Hopefully, my attempt to include the link works.

I went to The Colorado College quite a while ago, back before collegiate cycling teams existed. Even then, we played with the "CCCP" logo (Colorado College Cycling People). A younger grad from the mid 90's just gave me a couple of CC team jerseys that have CCCP running down the sides. Neither has a hammer and sickle logo, but they apparently had such images constructed from bicycle components (crank/rim/ etc.). These two jerseys instantly became my favorites.

(As a note, I'm in the camp that if you can buy it from a major retailer, it just ain't cool). YMMV

i live in ennis.

unfortunatly we don't have much of a bike shop here, its a fishing/bike shop. they don't stock any quality parts, not even look or spd cleats
they do sell a lot of those jerseys though. tourists, especially americans will buy almost anything with 'ireland' written on it.
nice jersey though.

Beer ads?TypeOne

While I think a lot of the microbrew jerseys look really nice--Fat Tire, Sierra Nevada, RedHook, Peleton Ale, etc. I have decided that I will no longer wear an advertisement for alcohol.
True, I'll usually drink a beer after a ride and I'm no Carrie Nation, but I drew a line. That's fine if others wear those jerseys because like I said, the jerseys are usually nice looking. I began thinking about this when I was a teacher, and while I rode to school with a Fat Tire jersey the kids weren't allowed on school grounds with alcohol advertisements, slogans, logos, etc.

My "around the bay in one day" jersey. This is a ride of 120 kms that you have to do in daylight. It was the first time I attempted it and I darn well earned it. It isn't that spectacular looking (and if i could work out how to put pictures up i probably would) but i trained for it, i rode it and i deserved it! Gloat over. But i was a bit sleepy the next day.

being a rock climber, backpacker and mountain biker, I am not much into how I look when I'm pursuing my sports. I see a lot of road bikers around here decked out in these WILD jersies and have always assumed that y'all wear that stuff so drivers will notice you and therefore not hit you (well not accidentally of course). However this thread makes me wonder if it's not more of a fashion statement. So which is it - visibility or fashion? Or is it both?

Also, why are so many drivers hell bent on scaring road bikers? (I am not one of those drivers!!) I hear pure venom come out of otherwise reasonable people's mouths when the topic of road bikers comes up. Do you think they just hate your ugly shirts? ;-) or what?

PS - am I doomed to getting a big ass if I road bike?? (These threads here are funny as hell!)

I like my Once Yellow ONCE team jersey that I bought simply because it matches my
ONCE yellow TCR2. It's the only wannabe-ism I'm guilty of, I'd not be hired as that teams driver much less a cyclist!

My fave "let's go for a ride" jersey is black with navy blue trim that goes well
with black cycling shorts. I look like a serious cyclist in it.

Which isn't to say I'm not, but it makes me somehow more than I am, you know?
cant read it, p's got it for me in italy, its got crash scars nmishmael
