Foot paintaar44

I have come to the conclusion that my shoes are too big. My feet are not snug in them and i can only ride about 15 miles before i have to stop for at least a 10 min break. I put in Dr Schools sports sole to eat up some room but it seems like that aint enough. What else (short of stuffing it with tissue) can i do to eat up some more room? Thanks.

Try some Sole orthotics and also look into to trying some thicker socks.

If all else fails, try wrapping your feet in duct tape.

I use these plastic heal caps that fit inside my shoe, they are few bucks from any orthotics supplier. Also try those phase 4 orthotics for 19.99 you can find on the web. Your pain is probably a results of a neroma (pinch) nerves. This can start in your late twenties, Orthotics reset your foot bones and take pressure off the nerves.

When my feet show signs of soreness I put more effort into pulling on the upstroke and less effort pushing on the down stroke.

Try using some over the counter shoe inserts such as Superfeet or Petersons Power Beds. I use the Superfeet green capsules. Although they are not recommended for cycling, they do a better job of stuffing up you shoe than the gray capsules that are recommended for cycling. How old are your shoes? Maybe they are breaking down and your feet are paying the price.

Stuffed the shoes with a kleenex tissue in each one. Made all the difference. Pain reduced by at least 70%!! Rode 55 miles at 18.6mph average!! For me, thats pretty damn good! Thank God for kleenex!!
