Well, the economy is in sour right now, and I have become just an average American who has just been laid off from the dot com I worked for because of corporate downsizing; those bastards! So what am I going to do? I am going into business for myself and opening my own bike shop. I know it is risky, but first of all, I have a following on this board, so that will attract a few people. Second of all, I love bikes. I can sell bikes. Might even try my own hand at the dot com bike business. The opportunity is there, so I am seizing the moment. It will also give me the opportunity to ride more.

RRP, sounds like you have the right attitude. Didn't let 'em get you down. Good luck with the bike shop. Remember, no guts - no glory.
I agree with you.mlester

Those who run/own the bike shops have the least amount of time to ride. Sorry, you do get to surround yourself with all the goodies but have no time to play with them.
