|I'm looking to put some semi-slick tires on my road tandem, but am having trouble finding 700 sized ones...any ideas? The reason I'm putting them on that is we just moved to a place where there are a lot of bike paths, but kinda beat up in places...the road is not an option when we're pulling our daughter behind us, but fine when we're not...thanks!!|

|We use Specialized Armadillos on ours. I think they come in widths up to 27mm. They are stiff and heavy, but I think you that can have old ones recycled into bulletproof vests. I have seriously contemplated leaving the spare innertube etc. at home.|

|I just bought some 700x35 Ritchey cross tires at REI for $13 apiece for my singlespeed. Can't remember the model; somethingMax. Excel Sports (www.excelsports.com) has four or five different ones, about $19 to $29, with treads from aggressive to nearly smooth.
Have you considered Avocet Cross II's, with the inverted tread? On sale at Nashbar now, I think $26.95. And a sleeper is the Panaracer Pasela in 35mm--I've been using those on my Atlantis for a year or so and really like them. They're light and fairly fast on the road, but have enough air volume to work well on hardpack and even a little non-technical singletrack.
