|Friday, around 5pm, Los Gatos Creek Trail, just off Main Street? A guy in full MTB Review kit went by on a Litespeed as I was coming across the footbridge on my mountain bike. Went all the way to Vasona, where I passed him after he pulled out into the parking lot.|

|...Francis. Litespeed with Dura-Ace wheels?
Both of us frequent that area as an after work ride. Usually on mtn. bikes, though. Tell me, was that Fred wearin' his Camelbak too?!

|I didn't notice the wheels or if he had a camel back. I did remember thinking that he was probably a fast guy. He put the hammer down and disappeared after getting through the gates at Miles Ave. But when I caught up to him at Vasona, I was amazed. I thought "is that it?" You've only gone a mile and a half and you're pulling up!!! I theorized he must be testing something....

|Yep, litespeed! I went fast for a bit but I'm constantly haunted by the 15mph signs so I don't go fast for long.
I've been doing that ride on Fridays. I live in Campbell, go to Los Gatos through the creek trail, up highway 9 to skyline, to page mill down moody, foothill, 9 to los gatos and creek trail to campbell. 60 miles.
That's cool you mountain bike. We should hook up at St. Joes or at Soquel.

|I was doing my Friday night ride where I do two loops of St. Joe's, hitting pretty much every trail (which isn't hard). I work off the creek trail just north of 85, so I ride from work, go up college and jones, come down the lake side and come back. If you want to hook up, let me know.
I was just up at Soquel yesterday. Buzzard, Pig, Tractor. I've been riding there all year and this is the worst I've seen it. Parts of Ridge are scary now! It's still the most fun in the area.
You should go up Moody and Page Mill and climb back to 9. It's much harder, and no one is going down 9 when you get there, so you can absolutely fly down it. The only problem is lack of water, so pick a cool day.

|Did the route you suggest - up Moody and Page then down 9 - a couple of weeks ago. It sure is a pretty tough climb for the elevation gained. Had plans to do a lot more hills that day, but after Page had to cut things short. Flying down 9 is well earned reward after that killer climb.|| |
