|Perhaps even more impressive than LA's cycling accomplishments is his committment as an advocate for cancer survivors.
From a column in this AM's Houston Chronicle:
Even before he won his fourth Tour de France championship, Lance Armstrong had been tapped by the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center to be guest speaker at the annual "A Conversation With a Living Legend" benefit in Dallas. Armstrong will switch gears from sportsman to spokesman Dec. 9 for the program at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel.
More than 1,500 are expected to hear the winning bicyclist, who had metastasized testicular cancer, tell his story on stage with CNN anchor Paula Zahn.

|Richardson Bike Mart is Lance's old stomping grounds, when he was living in Plano Texas. He got his 1st Rd Bike from the Owner there and was a young brash rider for thier Race Team back in the day.|| |
