stiff handlebar/stem combo you can recommendSlick21

Hey everyone,

I just got a new USA CADD5 frame. I want to get new handlebar and stem to replace the ICON parts from my last frame. I want something that is very stem and reliable because I want to sprint like hell. I'm thinking about the Deda Newton OS combo from Totalcycling.com, but there are too many stories about stem failure. Can you also tell me where I can find the best deal on your bar/stem recommendation?

Thanks

I use the 3T Forma SL bars (250gr) and the Forgie stem by 3T as well. If you want a stiff front end ,stay with bars in the 250 gr. range and choose a stem the pro sprinters use.

Actually, I've tried a few and find the Icon bars to be pretty stiff. I use them with a Control Tech (quill) stem and the combination is everything I want.
