I need Insert Suggestions(9 posts)

I need Insert Suggestionsgarhead
Aug 4, 2002 11:57 AM
I'm looking for some suggestions for Inserts for Sidi's. I have some running ones in now & they have a thin carbon arch support but I think that is what is making my right foot go numb after about 15 - 20 miles. Any additional ideas & where to get them??

I've never tried them in cycling shoes, but I have Superfeet insoles in all my hiking & cross-training shoes, and I love them. I think you can get them at campmor.com.

If you get Superfeet, get the ones specifically for cycling shoes.

Im using the Sidi dom 4's and superfeet insoles. Works very well at relieving hot spots and pressure points.

Which Superfeet insole do you use. I went to their site & it's not really set-up to find by sport. What color are yours & are they custom??
Thanks again for the input(s)

http://www.superfeet.com/product/grey.html

Note it says: "Recommended for cycling road shoes"

The website IS set up to find by sport, also need to input shoe size, etc.

I had to order via their website.

Do the shoes fit? Insert could be the problemcory

If the shoes are snug, the way cycling shoes are supposed to be, an insert might ADD to your problem by increasing pressure on the foot. Be sure you're not compressing the nerves and arteries.

Cory I love my Sidi's actually have 2 pairs 44 & 45 I use the 45 in the winter when I wear think socks. The problem i think is that the inserts I used are actually running shoe inserts & are thick. With the increased temps around here 98-102+ my feets were dying along with the rest of me. I ordered a pair of SuperFeet for cycling (Grey). They are thin because there is no actual pounding.
