|at Rock N Road Cycles on College near Old Town.
A lot of rides involve a fairly significant amount of climbing at elevations above 5000 ft.
A popular ride is the Horsetooth Loop. Head out of town toward Horsetooth Resovoir, down to Masonville and back through Loveland. For a nice long ride you can head out on thsi loop, but turn west toward Estes Park once you hit HWY 34. Take this road to Drake and turn left toward Glen Haven. Climb up and over the top then down to Estes park and back to Loveland on Hwy 34. This ride will be closed to 100 miles and involve significant climbing so come prepared.
Plenty others avaialable so stop in Rock N Road and ask for info. Good luck and enjoy your trip.
FYI it's been hotter than Heck here but temps have finally cooled down. It's going to be in the 50's tonight, high in low 80's tomorrow.

|Yep, that back way into Estes via Devil's Gulch into Estes and back down Big Thompson Canyon is the bomb. Other option is ride to Masonville but continue on to Carter Lake.
IMO, there isn't a LOT of great riding around Ft. C, but the good rides are GREAT rides. Ask the LBS to point you in the direction of any of the following: Horsetooth Reservoir, Carter Lake, Masonville, Drake/Glen Haven/Estes.
