|The next time you wife pokes her head around the corner and chirps, "Honey, I'm off to TJMaxx and Marshalls." Don't roll your eyes and flip to the next station. Hit the power button, and offer to drive! There are coolmax bargains to be had.
Okay, you won't find padded shorts or a postal team kit; but there are things to be found. The last time I was there, I located three RLX jerseys for $12.99. Hey now, that's a good deal! You might not wear them to club rides, but they come in handy during those long weeks when your cycling drawer has gotten empty.

|Regrettfully, not a 58cm Merlin. Alas!! All I found were three Topeak "Joe Blow" floor pumps for $14.99. Whaddadeal!! I didn't buy one becuase I had just purchased one from Performance a couple of months before - for over $30! Bummer.
Oh yeah...T.J. Maxx had a 57cm Colnago Caronissimo for only $99.95, but since it wasn't in my size, I didn't buy it.

|Except I paid $19.99 for my Joe Blow pump! (still a good deal, though =) )|

|They had a 59 Carbonissimo for the same price here, but I didn't like its color, so I passed. I purchased too many bargains at the Maxx or Marshalls, but never used them because I had nothing to wear with them.|

|I used to end up with lots of clothes that I'd never wear for that exact reason. Then I established a little rule. I never buy just one piece of anything anymore. If I buy a top, I must buy pants or a skirt to go with it at the same time. Otherwise it stays on the shelf.|

|Under $10 too. Brand is Starter. Can't beat that.
Sizing is strange though I'm every bit of an XL in T-shirts but the Starter is a Medium and fits well.
Wal-Mart bike "mechanics" are wearing shirts that say "Schwinn Quality." Is that a deal?

|to get a yoga mat I needed, where they got it for $12 instead of almost double that elsewhere. I finally broke down and went to that "girlie" place but couldn't find any mats (of course, I didn't ask if they had any; I'm a guy :-)), so I went elsewhere and paid full. My wife went to the same store a short while later and said she saw loads of the mats there for $12, right near the checkouts. Sob. They must've restocked about five minute after I left. I'm convinced that store is meant only for women.|
