Too big for stock wheels?(3 posts)

Too big for stock wheels?postman

I am 6'4" and 220 lbs and in the process of purchasing my first road bike. I am worried that I may be too heavy for some of the stock wheelsets on the bikes in my price range $1800-$2400. Any thoughts? recommendations?

Also, any experience with Felt bikes?

Thanks.

no problem at all, I ride on OpenPros with 15/14 dt revos at 235. Pot holes can tweak'em, but they are easy to true.

I am about your size and have about 10,000 miles on the 2 sets that I own. Very little trouble with them.

For the money, I don't thing you could find a better set of wheels.
