Recently I've been looking into getting a Specialized Allez E5 SLX comp (or the 2003 model as Allez Comp18)...both compact frame design

On their geomoetry page they list the 58 size having a 57.5 top tube...but they don't state whether this is the "virtual top tube" (like on other compact designs) or the actual tt lenth...

Thanks for any help

I tested out the '02 model and thought it was bit stiff for my tastes. The '03 only cost $1790 and now has a carbon fiber seatpost to absorb some of that vibration from the compact aluminum frame. The wheels appear to be better, too. Have you seen or tested the '03 out yet?

Sorry I can't answer your top tube length question!
